Torn World is a shared world that lends itself well to collaboration. I basically joined it for the teamwork practice, and boy am I glad I did, because now I have fans writing whole books in some of my settings. The setting is science fantasy about the perils of temporal technology. Also it has giant unicorns and sea monsters.
