snowflake challenge: day 2 (catch up)

Day 2:
Rec at least three fanworks that you didn’t create.

I originally wanted to mix a few fandoms, but in the end I actually decided to go for Haikyuu!! since that's the fandom I've been most involved with in the last few years. Instead, I decided to recommend 3 different forms of fanworks, rather than just fanfic as I had planned originally.

Crowchildren -- a haikyuu!! au fanfic
WARNING FOR MCD - This fic will forever be one of my faves despite not even being focused on my favourite chars (and even sort of having notps in it). I remember reading it until 7am and crying for half an hour after that but in a nice, cathartic way? I've never read a fic with such a satisfying ending, and I remember literally googling things in the fic because I thought it was real mythology I didn't know about and not something the author made up (so yeah, I enjoy the worldbuilding too!). I will forever recommend this fic and it was the only one I knew I needed on this list.

Dream catchers -- A haikyuu!! au webcomic (still unfinished)
Fascinating worldbuilding and amazing art. This comic is mostly centered on Sawamura Daichi and Sugawara Koushi, but features a lot of other characters, and I fell for the unique and interesting artstyle on top of the super cool concept behind.

Hoshimirukorowosugitemo (Past the stargazing season) -- A haikyuu!! fanvid
Ah... this song is my baby, and the accompanying fanvid makes me feel so... idk. I just love it dearly, and the 'homemade' feel of the pencil sketches on the lined paper makes me love it even more. I'm still working on a fic that has the english title because i love it so much.

I'm sorry, I decided to delete the others, but I still wanted to share the ones recommended above, so I hope you enjoy. ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

Hi! Thank you for participating in the challenge in any way you can. Studying for exams can suck all your time an energy, as I recall from *coff* many years ago.

'Friends Only' merely means that they've locked their journal so Joe Blow passing by can't see their entries, you need to be friended back by that person in order to see them. Some people have a 'friending policy' located somewhere in their journal, either on their profile or in their intro or 'friends only' post. (Which often just says, you can friend me, but I'll only friend you back if we have something in common or I know who you are.)

People generally don't mind being friended, and they especially won't question it if we're all playing in the Snowflake Challenge.

You can give someone access to your journal right off the bat, or you can wait to see if they're going to friend you back.

Lastly (omg), welcome to DW! I hope you enjoy your stay here. *g*

Sorry. Coming from LJ I'm used to using their terminology, which is friending (means you can follow them and they can see your posts; if they friend you back, you can see their posts).

Subscribing on DW means you can see them on your reading list (but not locked posts unless they also grant you access), and granting access means they can see your locked posts. If they also subscribe to you and grant you access it's a total two way street. Some people have full circles (LJ friends list aka f-list) and don't always subscribe back, though they'll give you access if their fic is locked, for example.

I hope that wasn't too confusing. o_O
